16 June 2021 | Wage Increases

The Fair Work Commission handed down its decision on the 2021 Minimum Wage Determination on the 16th of June 2021 increasing the Minimum Wage and all Award rates by 2.5%. In that decision many Awards would increase their rates from 1 July 2021 whilst others had delayed implementation dates due to the Covid Crisis. Please note that the wage increases apply from the first full pay period commencing on or after the specified dates below. The implementation dates for our industry are as follows:

1 July 2021:

  • Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award 2020
  • Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020
  • Fast Food Industry Award 2010

1 September 2021:

  • General Retail Industry Award 2020

1 November 2021:

  • Restaurant Industry Award 2020
