About the Competition
When: Entries are generally due in August. You can register your interest at any time of the year.
The Australian Baking Industry National Scholarship Awards are run by the Australian Baking Society and event partner EOI along with a number of other sponsors including the NBIA. The competition is held annually during August and is aimed at anyone working within the baking industry. There are two categories The Sydney J Packham Baking Industry Medal and the Arthur E Denison Trophy. Entrants are sent an entry kit with instructions about their task which varies from submitting a paper to researching and answering questions about an industry related topic.
The Sydney J Packham Baking Industry Medal is open to those who are 18 to 24 years of age and the Arthur E Denison Trophy is open to those who are over 25 years of age. Winners are announced at the Awards for Excellence presentation in October at the ASB Conference.
How to Enter
Register your details with the organiser and they will send you an entry kit with details of your task.
Prizes include Certificates of Excellence, up to eight five day regional trips, and two fabulous overseas scholarships, to the IBA Conference in Germany. Full details are included in the entry pack you receive upon registering.
